Motivated by a desire to preserve Colombire’s history, the menu at the “Relais” takes its inspiration from traditional cooking, just as it was during the cattle driving season and when the high-altitude chalets provided shelter for many generations of families.
Diners will find a faithful recreation of recipes associated with the region, such as the hamlet’s own macaroni, or Colombire cheese gratin of polenta with savory butter, not forgetting our unbeatable blueberry tart with homemade ice cream! The dishes are principally sourced in the Valais or from biological farming…we guarantee you a healthy dinner… whatever you choose!
A special children’s menu is provided so that our younger visitors feel at home, and we hope they’ll be enchanted by our range of fun activities…
Colombire’s “Relais” restaurant is all about conviviality, enjoying a good meal and relaxing afterwards. Visitors are invited to sample their menu choices on the terrace when the weather is fine, otherwise there’s plenty of room indoors (48 places inside and 60 outside).
The grand fireplace opposite the lounge area and recliners on the terrace are perfect for relaxing and for making the most of the stunning mountain views.
The “Relais’ ” flexible and well equipped reception room makes it ideal as a venue for a business meeting or a private event…or even a combination of the two! For special family meals, corporate outings, meetings, seminars, incentives or similar, the “Relais” restaurant offers unique and friendly surroundings.
